An interesting video by Linus from NCIX Tech Tip about the Radeon HD 6970 and Eyefinity on the Samsung MD230X3, a 3-panel monitor (3 full-HD monitors). Linus shows us the importance of besel correction especially in games where wide bezel can hide some emenies…
bezel correction hides pixels behind the bezel..without bezel correction you would see ALL the pixels of the NPC in FPS…not the middle of it hidden…
ive been using SOFTTH for 3 head gaming without bezel correction (1280*1024 + 1920*1080 + 1280*1024)
softth lets me use my nvidia cards (GTX470 rendering LCD HD monitor – 9400GT as secondary driving 2 CRT monitors) without having to SLI them to get nv surround..
eyefinity/nv surround is nothing but a gimmick..im not convinced!
ooh…and it works with ATI cards…
and even hybrid systems…
i used to run softth with a ATI HD3870 as the renderer (9400GT as secondary) but that card struggled to pump out 3x normal res..
