I´ve read the article about the performance of 2 RTX 2070 in NV-link SLI, and wondered how two RTX 2080 would perform in NV-link SLI? the 2070´s where in some games less than 5% behind the performance of 2 RTX 2080TI Nv-link SLI and because of that i think that two 2080´s will perform much more equal than two 2080TI!.
So equal that, that if i will buy a turing card NV-link sLi setup, i will get 2 2080 or better 2 2080 Super, because it seems to be logic,that the performance in benchmarks, will be not as near to the 2080TI than in games, but near enough to be, if i overclock them sky high, very close to the fastest SLi setup in the world( which isn´t a Titan NV-link SLI setup).
This setup will need a very strong CPU, but if i spent all my money for 2 RTX 2080 super and 2 NV-link adapter, i will not be able to buy a Core i9 9900KS or 9900X, even not aCore i7 8700K with a new 1151 mobo with a z390 chipset from asus! But i am very good in buying the cheapest second hand offers on ebay, and with my rampage iv extreme and my gigabyte x79 UD3 with an E5-1660 & an e5-1650( 4,9-4,9GHZ) i bought 2 mobos with which i am able to get a CPU, which is able to fuel a SLi setup like the RTX 280 SUPER NV-link SLI, the fabolous e5-1680 v2, which performs with 4,8 GHZ very close to the Core I9 9900X, which is able to fuel with 8x5GHZ a RTX 2080TI NV-link SLI setup. And because of the fact that my new E5-1680 V2 is the fasteset E5-1600 Xeon, which i am able to oveclock very well, i think that my RTX SLI setup will be fueled wholesome( by CPU and by the 2 PCIe 3.0×16 slots aswell, and even my 1000Watt evga supernova 80+ gold) and i will find my way back in the 3D Mark hall of fame again!
Is this interesting for anybody else, i think not, but i couldn´t resist to write a little bit about my new hardware plans.
