My LeGo should arrive in the mail this week, and I already have a Sonnet Breakaway TB3 enclosure, a 6ft TB3 40gbps cable, and an older RX 6800XT lying around, and I want to try it with an eGPU. In fact, one of the main reasons I went with the LeGo over the Ally or SD was the bigger screen and eGPU options.

I know I have to fiddle with the drivers to get an AMD eGPU to work, and I've looked at the steps and I'm comfortable with that. I tend to like AMD, as I don't do RayTracing and the AMD cards often work better with AMD GPUs.
My question is whether Nvidia cards are better for this use case? Do they perform better with the limited bandwidth over ThunderBolt? Does one work better with Lossless Scaling 2.0 and it's framegen? If I got a RTX 4xxx, does DLSS 3 make Lossless Scaling irrelevant?
